My thoughts on everything

Here I aim to explain my intentions for this blog along with creating some guidelines for my future self.

1. This blog will NOT be a diary of my life. There are many places on the internet where one can create such a diary. This blog is designed for consumption of the masses, not those who know me personally.

2. I will not involve myself in petty bickering. This includes resisting the urge to “weigh in” on the mainstream media’s latest fabricated crisis. This blog is for big thoughts and deep questions only. Any topic that would lose its relevance after one year is not appropriate.

3. I will do my best to post SOMETHING. I have a tendency not to publish my thoughts until I have arranged them in a satisfyingly coherent manner. At first this may seem like a blessing but not when big ideas idle indefinitely. Even now as I write this first post I have no less than 10 drafts awaiting my input. If nothing else publishing a thought prematurely will force me to expand upon it sooner rather than later.

And now, in complying with rule #3 I will post this entry even though I feel it is horribly incomplete.
